Club Manos is the class we recommend for knitters who know the basics -- Cast On, Knit, Purl and Bind Off -- and who want to advance their skills over time so that they can take on more complex challenges with greater confidence.

Over the course of about a year, you'll make 12 squares, each with a different stitch pattern. Choose your palette from 97 solid and variegated kettle-dyed colors!

You'll learn to:

• read a pattern and read your knitting;
• analyze a pattern so that you know if you've made a mistake;
• avoid mistakes and to fix them;
• make a chain selvedge;
• make a crocheted cast on;
• increase and decrease in a variety of ways;
• crochet a simple edge and attach pieces to each other; and
• trust your skill!

Before the first class, you need to pick your palette. Expect to spend an hour or more looking at the yarns and thinking about how you want to put them together. There are some beautiful samples in our window, made by previous students, and your own creativity is your only limitation!

The fee for the class is $70, payable in monthly installments of $5. Each class meets once a month for an hour and a half. Check the current class schedule for the next start date! If you need to miss a class, makeups are often possible in another time period or you can come into the store and do a special Manos Project Class for that month's fee.
